Slackware: Kernel 4.4.10 and Liveslak Images

Ola! While we're still waiting Eric Hameleers has quietly (sort of) updated many of his packages, among them Chromium 51, and also released v1.0.0 of his liveslak project, still based on Slackware Current as of now, on his Alien Pastures blog. Eric writes he considers

The “1.0.0” marker is not the end of its development of course. It means that I consider the project production-ready.  It will be used to create Live Editions of Slackware 14.2 (64bit and 32bit) when that is released. There’s still some more ideas forliveslak that I want to implement and those will become available as 1.x releases.
Several different images are available, with the full live distribution or Xfce only for the 32 bit architecture and additionally the Plasma 5 and Mate desktop environments for 64 bit. Download them from one of the mirrors in the blog post, rsync is also possible.

Meanwhile, the Slackware changelog reflected the officially distributed kernel has now been updated to 4.4.10.
